For the  parents and families of St. Therese Chinese Catholic School

Dear Parents,

As the weather cools, we prepare for fall and all the exciting events at St. Therese.  Some classes are going on field trips to explore the pumpkin farm, see a play, or visit the Museum of Science and Industry. The students are excited to go on their school adventures as they step outside the classroom to learn and build meaningful bonds with their classmates.

Please join us at St. Therese Worship Site for the Feast of St. Therese on Sunday, October 6 at the 10:30am Mass. There will be a beautiful flower procession in St. Therese's honor.

A reminder that Midterm Progress Reports went home with students on Friday, October 4th. If you have questions or concerns, please email the subject teacher.

Please save the date for our Parent Organization meeting on Wednesday, October 9 at 6pm at St. Therese Campus. The important role of the parent organization is to support our students and plan many fun and exciting events for students and their families, all while supporting our school. Look for flyers and newsletters with details for future Parent Organization events soon. I know that a strong partnership with our families is vital to the success of our students and St. Therese, so I hope you find one or more ways to get involved.

Best,

Ms. Lisa Deborah Oi
Principal

The St. Therese Flag Football Season is in full gear! On Tuesday, September 11th, the Varsity and Junior Varsity Teams played in the 2nd Annual Freedom Bowl against Frances Xavier Warde School. This game recognized all of those who were affected by the events of 9/11/2001 and served as a reminder of the price our country has paid to maintain our freedoms.

The Chicago Unity League has started for all three levels. The Varsity Team opened the season with a  34-14 victory over St. Agnes of Bohemia and looks to have a surprisingly strong team this season. The Junior Varsity team is also excelling and is 2-1 with a very close loss to rival Ascension. The Junior Team begins play against St. Catherine-St. Lucy and is looking to develop players for the overall program.

Volleyball games are starting very soon with the Junior Level playing at Wilson Community Center and the Varsity and JV teams slated to play at McGuane Park!
