Morning Drop Off Observations: Mrs. Heck has observed many students using their cell phones while they are in the cross walk by entrance Q. Please talk with your students about the dangers of not paying attention when crossing the street in a high traffic area. Mrs. Heck has been telling the students to not use their phones when they are in the crosswalk. It is a very dangerous practice for the students to engage in.
STUDENT DROP OFF AND PICK UP TRAFFIC PATTERN CHANGES!
We have made some changes to the area where students are dropped off and picked up to make the area safer for our students. The lane used will now have one way traffic. You will only be able to enter from the south end of the loop (closest to the football field). In addition, parking will only be allowed on the curb side. Thank you for being patient during this time. This area gets very busy and we want to make sure our students are safe.
BUS LANE IN FRONT OF SCHOOL ...
REMINDER: No parking at any time in the bus lane -
before or after school.

Thank you.
STUDENT PICK UP: If you need to pick up your student during the day, we ask that you please send a note with your student in the morning with a time that you will be picking them up. That way we can write them a pass to hand to their teacher when it's time to leave. This avoids having to disrupt classes by calling in looking for a student.
AFTER SCHOOL STUDY LAB
Study Lab will take place every Tuesday from 2:55-4:15 p.m. and Thursdays from 2:55-3:30 p.m. Students will be able to stay after with a teacher from their house to get extra support or make up missing work. A late bus will be available.
EXTRA CURRICULAR ANNOUNCEMENTS

LGMS PTO FUNDRAISER
Students in Lake House science classes have been reviewing science terms in a variety of ways. Just recently, students used whiteboards and dry erase markers during our Smartboard review of science terms. Activating multiple learning styles during reviews has been shown to help enhance long term memories for each new concept learned.
Students in Lake House science classes have been working at lab stations investigating sponges, cnidarians, and parasitic worms. They have been observing specimens, reading information about the different phyla, and watching short videos to supplement their observations.
