A Message From Mayor Steve Noble:
|
Dear Friends,
We have extended the comment period on a group of
important projects that will improve and protect the Kingston Waterfront.
We want the community to be involved in creating a vision and design for these projects, so we hope you'll take a look either online or in person and let us know your thoughts.
We are also looking for nominations for our second
Distinguished Artist Awards.
We're excited to see who will be nominated next, and encourage our community to participate in the process.
There are so many special holiday events in the next few weeks, we have just a few listed here. Wishing everyone a happy Thanksgiving in advance!

Comment Period Extended for Waterfront Projects
The public comment period for several waterfront revitalization projects has been extended. The City and design consultant firms hosted the Weaving the Waterfront event on October 26, where 29 posterboards with preliminary designs were displayed. The posterboards are now available for viewing in-person at the Kingston Library and digitally on the
City's website
. The survey for public comment will remain open until Monday, December 16.
The designs for which we are seeking public comment include four major projects that will improve and protect the Kingston Waterfront:
Additional project designs displayed at the event include the
Kingston Point Rail Trail Phase 2, Hudson Landing Promenade,
and
TR Gallo Park Improvements
.
The City is asking for the public's feedback via an
online survey
