WAHC Endorsements for Nov. 6 Election
BIAW’s political action committee, the Washington Affordable Housing Council (WAHC), endorsed 89 candidates for the November 6 general election during the BIAW summer board meeting in Pasco and at the WAHC meeting last month in Seatac.
 
The endorsements, as always, are focused on candidates who understand the needs of Washington small businesses and home builders. WAHC is proud to support and encourage your support of endorsed candidates for office.
 
Expect delivery of your ballot no later than October 25. With the newly paid postage ballots, it’s even easier to vote in the November 6 election!

NAHB Green Professional Designee of the Year
Ted Clifton, BIAW and Skagit/Island Counties Builders Association member and owner and founder of Clifton View Homes and Zero-Energy Plans, was recently selected as the 2018 Green Professional Designee of the Year by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB). Clifton will be honored at IBS in Las Vegas on Monday, February 18, 2019.

Clifton was recognized for his long-standing commitment to, and experience with, sustainable building and remodeling. Clifton has won many local and national awards for green building and is a BIAW instructor.
A.C.T. Builders Selected for Vet Smart Home Project
BIAW member and BIA of Clark County President Aaron Marvin from A.C.T. Builders, LLC was selected by the Gary Sinise Foundation to build a home for injured vet Rico Roman in Brush Prairie, WA.

Organizers unveiled Roman's future mortgage-free, smart home on Wednesday morning. The foundation tries to build 10 houses every year for disabled veterans. Learn more »
