... Saturday, 9:00 am

In honor of their upcoming marriage, the entire Jewish community is invited to celebrate the happy couple on at their
Aufruf this
Shabbat. An
Aufruf, which in Yiddish means "calling up", is the custom of the bride and groom being called up in the synagogue for an
Aliyah and a blessing
.
Following the service, please join us for a special
Kiddush luncheon sponsored by the Congregation Kol Ami Board of Trustees and the Congregation, in honor of Rabbi Sam Spector and Jill Goffin.

Your generous donation to the 5780 / 2019 High Holiday Appeal, will help us reach our full potential. Congregation Kol Ami is your Jewish home where every person counts and everyone is welcome. We are a vibrant, inclusive, participatory, egalitarian community that values the rich traditions of our heritage. By donating to the High Holiday Appeal, you will receive far more than you give.
With new members joining every week, we need your help to support our growth. All the amazing services, programs and activities, necessary security upgrades, and building maintenance and improvements, costs money. Dues alone don't cover our budget for the year and your donation will ensure a fruitful future.
Thank you to everyone who has already donated!
Donations may be paid in lump sum or we can set up a monthly credit card payment schedule. Donations made by Tuesday, December 31st will be counted towards this year's High Holiday Appeal.
We'll start the evening at 5:30 pm with a social hour called Shabbatinis. Our evening features both soft and hard drinks, as well as some light refreshments. Our
Shir Shabbat service follows at 6:30 pm which focuses on joyous singing.
After the service we invite you to stay for a catered,
Shabbat dinner
($18 per adult / $12 per child,
advanced reservations are needed).
You must reserve your seat by 12:00 pm on Friday, November 22nd

ADULT EDUCATION OPPORTUNITIES
Kol Ami partners with a local Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Ward to provide companionship, dinners, and a presence for families at the “Inn” at the Christ United Methodist Church on 3300 South and 2300 East during the week of Christmas.
This is a great opportunity for your family to volunteer together to bring some holiday cheer to these folks. Kids and adults alike can play games together, watch TV, color, tell jokes, read stories.
We especially need help on Mondays and Fridays between 9:30 am and 3:00 pm. Other volunteer opportunities include: shopping, food prep, Gift Shop, RSRS, KAJY, preschool, and gardening. Contact us at
info@conkolami.org!
