Revive Student Ministry Mission Trip Fundraiser
It's that time again, time for summer mission trips and we need you to help us get there. Starting this Sunday, in the Narthex, we will be hosting the last fundraiser for this summers mission trips. The envelope fundraiser! You will choose an envelope that corresponds with the amount that you would like to donate to the trips, then you will address that UNSEALED envelope to yourself. While on mission trip a student will write to you, let you know how the week is going and thank you for helping them go be the hands and feet of Christ in this world. This is a very important need that our students have, to be able to go out into the world and love as God has called us all to. Thank you for your support and prayers.

Begins June 10, 10:00am
Home this summer or home in passing? Join others in your age group and Pattie Wood for a summer Sunday school class. We'll be taking an in-depth look at the book of Mark (or something else if we don't like that). The class will meet in the ER at 10 am. With the ebb and flow of schedules for this age, each lesson will stand on its own. Parents - share with your college kids when they arrive home. Questions? Email Pattie at pattiewood1093@gmail.com. See you then!
Volunteer Appreciation
Connection Center
Volunteers are love in motion! Thank you so much for the time you spend volunteering on Sunday mornings here at Aledo UMC. The love you have for our church is evident through your service.  If you are a Sunday School teacher, Liturgist, Usher, Connection Center host, Greeter or Communion server, and did not receive your gift last Sunday, please stop by the Connection Center to pick it up.  You are truly so appreciated!
Manna Room Items Needed

Every week, our Manna Room provides food for families in need in our community. We are currently running low on the following items:
  • 1lb bags of rice
  • Oatmeal in 18 ounce canisters
  • Chicken/Tuna Helper
  • Crackers (Saltines or Ritz, those that come in sleeves)
  • Pasta and spaghetti sauce
  • Jelly/jam
VBS Donations
Now is the time to clean out your child's closet and find those gently used children's books they have outgrown. Vacation Bible School needs gently used children's books for Education Kits for the churches in the Texas Coastal Bend that lost most of their church school's supplies. You can drop off donated books in the bin in the narthex.

Vacation Bible School Registration Open
Registration is now open.  Morning VBS will be held July 9-13 from 9:00am-noon.  Evening VBS will be held July 8-12 from 5:30-8:30pm.  Visit www.aledoumc.org to register today!

Volunteer Caregivers Needed

Volunteers are needed for the infant through 4 year old rooms during the 9:00 service, 10:00 Sunday school hour, and 11:00 service times. Please email Barbara Leevy if you're willing to help on a scheduled rotating basis or be put on a call list. It takes a lot of help to fill the times slots needed to care for our littlest people.
Ushers Wanted!

AUMC is in need of additional ushers for the 11:00 service.  We currently have four teams which rotate ushering monthly so your commitment would only be for three months each year.  For more information or to sign-up for a team, please email Scott Sadler.

On the Go Devo

Sometimes life keeps you away from church on Sunday, but that doesn't mean you have to miss out.  Our weekly ON THE GO DEVO keeps you talking about what your church family is talking about, even if you can't be here.  You can subscribe to have the DEVO delivered to your mobile device each week by texting ONTHEGO to 68398.

Are you taking advantage of electronic giving?
When we join the church, we pledge to support the life and ministry of the church with our financial gifts. That can get complicated on those weeks when we can't be here as the offering plate comes around. But through electronic giving, you remain faithful to your membership vows, even on those weeks when life takes you elsewhere. It's easy. It's safe. And it benefits both you and your church family. Setting it up is easy and only takes a few minutes. Contact Shari Birchell at sharibirchell@aledoumc.org to set up an automatic transfer from your checking account. Or go to aledoumc.org/give to use your credit or debit card.
