Rev. Loren McGrail, UCC minister, theologian, poet, and artist, has returned from five years in Israel/Palestine. Here are the locations where she will speak in our association next week:

For this month's
Creation Justice Webinar, four panelists will discuss what faith communities need to know about "carbon pricing", policies that seek to establish a cost for carbon pollution. There are a range of mechanisms for doing this and strongly felt assessments for each.

NEOSOM FALL CLASS REGISTRATION

The Northeast Ohio School of Ministry (NEOSOM) is offering three classes for the fall term:
- Introduction to Biblical Studies
- UCC History & Polity
- Evangelism
You don't have to be a student in the program to take classes. Some classes are available for audit.

Planned by women from the Ohio Conference,
Lantern Fellowship is a time when women of all generations come together to enjoy faith, fun, and fellowship in the peaceful beauty of wooded hills and trails where the spirit can find renewal. Lantern Fellowship is September 21-23 at Templed Hills. The keynote speaker for the weekend is Rev. Carolyn J. Mann and she will lead a creative journey on the topic Three Great Loves: A Just World for All. A special offering will be taken in memory of Jeff Thompson.

Prayer Notes invite us to think of one another, to take time to lift up to God our congregations, and to engage with one another in prayer, thanksgiving and supplication. You are invited to send us prayer requests for your church and we'll be glad to include them in this newsletter.

Middleburg Heights Community UCC seeks a part-time (18 hours per week) Coordinator of Youth Ministries to develop ministry with middle and high school youth, encouraging them to develop the spiritual and personal resources necessary for a lifelong faith journey, to guide them in deepening a loving relationship with God, self, and others, and to nurture a commitment to service as taught by Jesus as he cared for those in need.
