Holy Family's Alumni Association is hosting the 4th Annual Quizzo Night on Friday, November 2, 2018 at Cannstatter Volksfest-Verein. All proceeds will benefit the Alumni Association Scholarship Fund.

Quizzo is a game of trivia, played in team format. Teams for this event may include two to ten people.

This event is open to all Holy Family University Alumni, Faculty/Staff, Family and Friends. Must be 21 years of age or older.

Tickets cost $30 per person and include a dinner buffet, draft beer, wine, soda, dessert, and Quizzo games with cash prizes.

Get your tickets early as this event is likely to sell out!

Call for Honorary Degree Candidates!
 
The Honorary Degree Committee of the Holy Family University Board of Trustees invites you to submit names of potential candidates for an Honorary Degree.  
 
Viable candidates are those who have exhibited:
  • outstanding performance in a specific area of expertise or profession 
  • leadership attainments and unselfish contributions of service to civic, cultural, and charitable agencies 
  • dedication, compassion, vision, courage, moral character and integrity 
  • a sense of responsibility to God, family, and others; and
  • an embodiment of core values that Holy Family seeks to instill in its students.
Nominations should include a letter describing how the candidate fits these criteria and a personal/professional background of the candidate (resume/CV). Send nominations via email or hard copy to the President's Office. Honorary Degrees are awarded in the spring at Commencement.
 
Current Holy Family trustees, faculty, staff and students are not eligible for an Honorary Degree.

  • Rosen Publishes Article on Ex-Gang Member Discrimination Dr. Jonathan Rosen, Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice in the School of Arts and Sciences, recently published an article entitled "Overcoming Stigma and Discrimination: Challenges for Reinsertion of Gang Members in Developing Countries" in the International Journal of Offender Therapy and Comparative Criminology.

  • Gregory Family Establishes Charitable Trust to Benefit University
    Carl Gregory, a former Holy Family University Board of Trustees Member for more than 35 years, and his wife, Elizabeth, have established the Carl F. and Elizabeth M. Gregory Charitable Trust, naming Holy Family University as the sole beneficiary. At the termination of the annuity period in 2028, all of the principal and income of the trust, more than $190,000, will be distributed to the University. Read more here. 
  • Holy Family University and UIC Barcelona Sign Student and Faculty Exchange Agreement
    On May 30, 2018, Holy Family University and International University of Catalonia (UIC Barcelona) signed a memorandum of understanding involving a student and faculty exchange program with the School of Education. The two sides are also exploring a similar agreement for the School of Nursing and Allied Health Professions. Read more here. 
  • Alumna Published by Marine Corps University Press Journal
    Dr. Jan Cook, a Holy Family University alumna (M'09, EdD'17), recently had a literature review published by the Marine Corps University Press Journal. Her work was entitled The Military-Civilian Bridge. Read more here. 
  • School of Education Partners with Local High School to Launch Future Teachers of Philadelphia
    In partnership with George Washington High School, Holy Family University's School of Education (SOE) has formed a new student group called Future Teachers of Philadelphia. The goal of the group is to identify high school students in Philadelphia who have an interest in teaching as a career and to provide activities that nurture and support those aspirations.
