Halloween safety tips keep trick-or-treaters safe
The weather may not be ideal, but it won't stop kids from enjoying some Halloween fun. Recommended trick-or-treat hours in Novi are from 6-8pm today.

Make sure your kids are wearing costumes that fit them, does not impair their vision and can be seen by others, especially drivers. Also be sure to only stop at the homes that have light on and never go inside.

Fit Florence is Novi's longest active class member
If you have ever been to the Stretch & Strength class in Novi, chances are you know Florence Baptist.

The Novi resident, who is also a long-time Meals on Wheels volunteer, has been taking Coach Jo Schirtzinger's class since it was first offered back in 1994. At 90 years old, Florence remains committed to a healthy and active lifestyle.

Oh, and we would be remiss not to mention her artistic talent, too. Florence is also part of the All Things Yarn knitting group that made the tree socks seen outside the Novi Civic Center in the spring.

To learn more about the fitness offerings in Novi, visit cityofnovi.org or call 248.347.0400. And if you would like to see if you can keep up with Florence, stop by the Stretch & Strength class on Monday, Wednesday or Friday from 9-10am at the Meadowbrook Activity Center.
