Expedia names Charlevoix best place to travel October 2018

Members of the Charlevoix Area Chamber of Commerce are invited to hear a Keynote Message from Patti Poppe, President and CEO of CMS and Consumers Energy. Ms. Poppe will bring her inspiring messages of leadership, sustainability and human investment to an event hosted by the Petoskey Chamber on Thu. Aug. 23, 2018. The event will be held in Downtown Petoskey at the Crooked Tree Arts Center. A networking reception will begin at 3:00 p.m. and the presentation will begin at 3:45. Charlevoix Photography Club Annual Exhibit

The Charlevoix Historical Society is hosting the Charlevoix Photography Club's 10th Annual Fine Art Photography Exhibition at the Depot, Depot Beach, from Saturday, August 25 through Monday, August 27. Hours are 1 to 5 p.m. The exhibit's grand opening reception will take place on Friday evening, August 24, between 6 and 8:30. Everybody welcome to attend! The answer is WATER. Bring the entire family to Raven Hill Discovery Center on Saturday,
August 25 th at 4pm and celebrate water with us. See the Smithsonian Museum on Main Street Water/Ways exhibit, enjoy the new Watershed Model and listen to the Great Lakes Chamber Orchestra play Handel’s Water Music. Water/Ways is open daily from 10am to 4pm. The open air concert begins at 4pm. Bring a lawn chair or blanket. Donations are appreciated. McLaren Northern Michigan is pleased to announce that it is ranked in the top 10 of 164 hospitals in Michigan according to U.S. News & World Report.

Ranking is based on careful analysis of patient outcomes and care-related factors, such as patient safety and nurse staffing, from nearly 5,000 hospitals nationwide. McLaren Northern Michigan was only one of two hospitals in the Northwest region to be ranked in the top 10.

St. Michael Academy Welcomes Four New Teachers to Its Staff
St. Michael Academy (“SMA”), Northern Michigan’s only Classical Catholic high school, announced today that four new teachers have joined the SMA staff for the 2018-19 School Year. SMA is very pleased to welcome Dr. Mary Sims, Ms. Cora Lynn Rogers, Ms. Colleen Mikelson, and Mr. Shea Whitmore.
