Editor's Note: This work, originally scheduled to begin as early as Feb. 9, is now expected to begin as early as Feb. 23. The traffic alert below has been updated to reflect the revised start date. The nightly closures are expected to be in place for several weeks.

NIGHTLY CLOSURES PLANNED ON FREMAC DRIVE
Closures expected to begin as soon as Feb. 23 , weather permitting
VIRGINIA BEACH - As part of the Laskin Road Bridge Replacement & Widening Project, t ravelers should expect nightly closures on Fremac Drive beginning as soon as Sunday, Feb. 23 . Nightly closures are expected to be in place as early as 9 p.m. and end no later than 6 a.m., weather permitting. A signed detour will be in place.

Motorists traveling Fremac Drive will be able to access Laskin Road via Winwood Drive. The nightly activities are not expected to affect through traffic on Laskin Road.
