Another weekend of holiday festivities kicks off tonight, with a reception from 6 to 9pm for the opening of Square Pear Gallery's new show "Wrap it Up!" While you're in the gallery shopping for beautiful, one-of-a-kind gifts, be sure to say "thank you" to gallery owner and Historic Kennett Square Board member Corien Siepelinga, who has been working tirelessly for many months to make Light up the Square happen.
The holiday cheer continues Saturday and Sunday with the return of the Kennett Holiday Village Market to The Creamery (11am to 5pm, December 7, 8, 14 & 15). A free shuttle will run between the corner of Broad and State Streets (100 S. Broad St., across from the Square Pear Gallery and the American Legion) and The Creamery. Find artisan and vintage vendors, ice sculptures, live music, workshops, food trucks, Santa Claus, and more in this magical holiday setting. C

And speaking of Light up the Square-Tinsel on the Town on Thursday, December 12 is the perfect opportunity to stroll along State Street and enjoy the lights as well as great holiday shopping in our independently owned shops, holiday music, Santa, a town-wide Bingo game, a beer garden, and more.

December can feel too short and full of busyness, but we encourage you to take time out this holiday season to enjoy all that our vibrant small town has to offer. Nourish body and soul by shopping for local food and gifts at the Kennett Square Farmers Market (December 6, 13, and 20). Sip a hot drink and browse handcrafted wares at the Holiday Village Market, stroll through the beautifully lit streets at Tinsel on the Town, enjoy dinner at a window seat in one of our many award-winning restaurants, and continue to shop small and soak in the experience of buying gifts you can see, touch, and taste from caring business owners who earned Kennett Square the designation of Best Suburban Shopping Destination.
Be sure also to stop in to say hello to two of our newest small business owners in town, Stefanie and John Lynn, of the recently re-opened Macaluso Books. "We want people to come in, get a coffee, browse, find a cozy seat and feel at home in this refuge from the world outside," Stefanie says.
Meet the Lynns in our Meet the Merchant series this month. #loveitlikealocal #shopKSQ #deliciousKSQ
