Dear St. Louis Families,
What a blessing each of you are to our community! As we are at the one-year mark for the onset of the pandemic, we are taking the time to recognize the many ways we have grown, the lessons we have learned, and the blessings we hold dear. We don’t get to say it enough, but we are better with your support and we are grateful for your grace, your patience, your flexibility, and your commitment to Catholic education. Thank you for believing in St. Louis Catholic School and trusting us to do our very best to partner with you. #BetterTogether
Second trimester ends today bringing our year to two-thirds complete. Report cards and mid-year Scantron (grades 3-7) and HMH (grades K-2) assessments will be sent home Monday, March 22nd with the White Team and Tuesday, March 23rd with the Blue Team. This is a change from last week’s publication, but I want to ensure teachers have the proper time to complete and verify grades. A reminder that Friday, March 19th is a professional development day sponsored by the Diocese of Arlington; students will not be in school this day, and teachers will be attending virtual training on inclusive practices and strategies as well as other best practices.
Our saint today is Bl. Angela Salawa, whose dedication to Christ and to helping others offers us a beautiful example of humility and service. Her life and her commitment to her faith are reminders during this Lenten season, of the gifts that come from putting others’ needs before our own.
Continued prayers for all of you!
Peace,
Anne Dyke
Principal
