OPWDD COVID-19 Safety Assessment
The Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) Region 1 DDRO has distributed an optional COVID-19 Safety Assessment. This assessment is used by state-operated facilities for determining an individual's support needs when returning to public activity during the COVID-19 public health emergency. This may be useful to Chapters when implementing the July 10 Interim Guidance Regarding Community Outings.

CAB Memo on Day Program Attendance 
The Consumer Advisory Board (CAB) and Plaintiff's Attorney's representing Willowbrook Class Members sent a memo to CCO and OPWDD Willowbrook Liaisons relative to day program attendance. At this time, they are objecting to all class members returning to site-based day or prevocational programs. CAB and Plaintiff's Attorneys will review agency safety plans and work with class members and families to provide individual approval for return to day programs. To date, no approvals have been received  and no class members should return to day programs. 

OPWDD Data Revision of COVID-19 Events/Situations
On Wednesday, OPWDD implemented revisions to the Incident Report and Management Application (IRMA) to ensure data integrity for reporting of COVID-19 Event/Situations. If either of the following edits are necessary after initial entry for the accuracy of a COVID-19 Event/Situation, please contact your agencies OPWDD IMU Compliance Officer to assist you:
  • Edit of COVID-19 tests results for individuals and/or staff
  • Edit/removal of a staff member or volunteer from the Involved Persons Subtab
