Marilyn Henzler Treptow

Brothers and sisters in Christ,

Marilyn Henzler Treptow, spouse of deceased pastor, Henry "Fritz" Treptow, died Saturday, August 4, 2018, in Burnsville, Minnesota, at the age of 86.  She  was born April 11, 1932, to William and Margaret Hildebrand Henzler in Toledo, Ohio. In her home congregation, she married the Rev. Dr. Henry "Fritz" Treptow of Hallettsville TX in 1953. In Texas, the Treptows served Immanuel, Posey; Grace, Slaton; and Bethany, Fredericksburg. They moved to Minnesota where Fritz served as executive director of the American Lutheran Church (ALC) Board of Pensions. After retirement, the Treptows moved to Kerrville; Marilyn moved to Fredericksburg after the death of Fritz in 2002 and last year moved to be near her children in Minnesota.
 
During December 1963 while at Bethany Lutheran, the Treptows gave an "Official State Visit Service" for President and Mrs. Lyndon B. Johnson, cabinet members of the United States government, and members of the West German government.  The Treptow Scholarship Fund at Texas Lutheran University honors their memory.
 
Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband Fritz and son Carl Treptow. She is survived by three children Carol Zaudtke (husband David), Chris Treptow, and Connie Huberty; 6 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.
 
Marilyn's body will be cremated and her ashes interred in Old Kinkler Cemetery of Halletsville TX at a later date. Memorials preferred to Ebenezer Arbor Lane Memory Care in Burnsville, MN or Knopp Retirement Home in Fredericksburg Texas.

We remember Marilyn's family in our prayers and trust that the promise of the Resurrection is true and sure.
