THIS SUNDAY'S SERVICE
"BECOMING COMMUNITY: PARITY NOT CHARITY"
KATHLEEN ROBBINS AND REV. FLORENCE CAPLOW
Sunday, December 8 at 10:15 a.m. in Sanctuary

UUCUC member Kathleen Robbins traveled to Transylvania on a UU pilgrimage this fall. Come hear stories, see photos, and connect with our Unitarian relations in Transylvania, whose religious tradition dates back to the 16th century. Hear about the Transylvanian congregation, what we can learn from them, and how our financial support through our Partner Church program is being used to make this a true partnership: "parity, not charity.”

UPCOMING SUNDAY SERVICES
"WE ARE THE LIGHT WE ARE LOOKING FOR"
EMILY MCKOWN
Sunday, December 15 at 10:15 a.m. in Sanctuary

A costume pageant! If you or your children feel inspired to dress up for this years pageant, please come on Sunday Morning Dec. 15th in a costume which brings the most joy and light to your spirit. All creatures welcome! We also have a collection of costumes in the R.E. closet, so if you'd like to pick one out before the service, come to the Children's Chapel at 9:30 a.m. and pick out your favorite!

This theatrical, all-ages service will feature children from the congregation as well as our children’s choir. The pageant, inspired by a children’s book called, “Gathering Sparks,” tells the story of the Jewish notion, Tikun Olam, whereby people heal the world through gathering light each time they perform good deeds.

JOYS, CONCERNS AND SORROWS

From the November 24 Service

A joy shared by Jerry Carden
A joy that I still have Tim to need me and feed ma - now that I'm 64. Thanks Paul McCartney for that delightful song.

A sorrow shared by A.J. and Steve Herzog
Please pray for our niece, Ella, who instead of starting college when our son did 2 years ago, has been going through one clinical trial after another to try to beat her cancer. Her most recent scan showed new tumors. Ella has just started the last clinical trial available so we are all praying that this one is effective and allows Ella to go on to lead the full life she deserves. Please hold Ella and her family in your hearts and prayers.

A memory shared by Gail Tittle
Today would have been the 2nd anniversary of Matt's and my remarriage. He's been gone almost 1 1/2 years. So hard to believe.

From the December 1 Service

A joy shared by Anonymous (December 1, 2019)
It was a joy to spend time with so many loved ones this week.
