The HBA Senior Lawyers Committee presents its October 2018 forum, Thursday, October 18, 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at Brennan's , entitled " Executive Director's Update/News, Resources, and Benefits: What You Need to Know Now from Your State Bar ," presented by Trey Apffel, Executive Director of the State Bar of Texas, and approved for .75 hour of MCLE, including .75 hour of ethics credit. Collect for HBA Clothing Drive, October 15-26
The HBA Campaign for the Homeless Committee encourages offices and individuals to collect new/gently-used clothes, new disposable diapers, and cash/checks for its annual clothing & diaper drive. Bring Holiday Cheer to an HIV/AIDS-affected Family in Need
The HBA AIDS Outreach Committee is recruiting firms/companies, individuals and families to "adopt" a needy family or individual child affected by HIV/AIDS during the holiday season. Participants receive a wish list from a family, then shop for gifts, wrap them and may choose to either deliver the gifts in person or through an agency. To sign up as an adopter, submit this form by Friday, October 19.
Thank a Homeless Veteran for Their Service

HVL Helps Families
Every day, low-income families in our community are faced with dire circumstances: homelessness, domestic violence, food insecurity, and so much more. Through the hard work of pro bono attorneys, HVL is able to offer stability to families and ensure that some their most basic human needs are met.
