Sharing Our Plans With You First
Dear SPS Employee:
We look forward to welcoming you back to SPS! We have missed our teachers, students and staff and are preparing for a successful start of the 2020-2021 school year. As always, our commitment is to create a safe and healthy learning environment for all.

Thanks to the dedication and hard work of SPS teachers, staff and administrators, we believe our plan creates a path for students to return to learning in a way that protects the health and well-being of everyone in our schools.

We will share full details with parents and community members later today, but as valued members of the SPS team, you are the first to know our plans. Click the button below to read specifics about our plan.
As we continue planning for the 2020-2021 school year and the return to seated instruction, we recognize that some employees may need adjustments to work assignments and/or locations as we work together to support instruction. Although adjustments may not be available for all positions, it is vitally important that we understand your individual needs. We have provided a survey below for you to share that feedback.

All responses are confidential, and we ask for your open and honest feedback. The results of this survey will be used to inform placement decisions, tools and supports that we can provide for employees returning to the workplace. Please be assured that responses related to personal limitations will be confidential and reviewed only by appropriate Human Resources personnel. Please note that employees assigned to provide virtual instruction will do so from a district-designated location.

For more information regarding the district's re-entry plan, visit sps.org/reentry and complete the following questionnaire.

A Final Note
Our Process:   The SPS re-entry plan was developed with guidance from the Springfield-Greene County Health Department and more than 75 SPS representatives, including teachers, principals and others. It reflects survey feedback shared by parents and staff.
