Sponsored by the Walnut Creek Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Contra Costasm (LCC), the Bay Area's premier countywide leadership program, accepts 25-30 individuals from throughout the county with diverse backgrounds to participate in the program. LCC is geared to people who want to make a difference in the communities in which they live and work.  For 30 years Leadership Contra Costa has been helping identify and prepare community leaders. With an alumni roster of more than 600 graduates, including Mayor of Walnut Creek Justin Wedel,  former Mayors of Walnut Creek Loella Haskew, Cindy Silva and Kathy Hicks, former Assemblywoman Lynne Leach, former Concord Mayor, Lou Rosas; Martinez Mayor Rob Schroder; and Ret. Superior Court Judge Harlan Grossan, this program has proven to be an asset to the community and society.

Meet Candy Pirtle-Smalls LVN, Author "Mindful Meal Prep Guide," Founder/CEO Fit in Her Kitchen, 2016 Meal Prep Candy's Kitchen, LLC, and Certified Holistic Health/Life Coach & Transformation Expert. After losing 50 lbs and healing and transforming herself, she has shared her platform into transforming lives with women all over the community and nation. In 2018, Candy became a member of the Walnut Creek Chamber of Commerce in order to be involved in the community. After seeing the warmness and support of the Chamber as well as the connection and involvement of the Ambassador Committee, she has decided to dedicate and volunteer her services to meet and shake hands and welcome business owners to the Walnut Creek community.

Meet Candy and the other Walnut Creek Chamber Ambassadors at the monthly  Chamber BASH,  ribbon cuttings, and community events including the Walnut Creek Art & Wine Festival, Oktoberfest, Walnut Creek on Ice.

Bay Area Chambers will hit it out of the park, with a tailgate party prior to the A's facing off against the Houston Astros on August 18.The  Oakland A's are partnering with the Walnut Creek Chamber of Commerce to host Walnut Creek Day! On August 18, Walnut Creek community members can take advantage of special ticket pricing...and $5 of every ticket sold will benefit Tony LaRuss's ARF.

Join us for our August BASH hosted by Hospice of the East Bay Thrift Shoppe, which takes place on Thursday, August 30 from 5:30 to 7pm at 1345-A Newell Ave in Walnut Creek. Our host has a wonderful BASH planned so we hope to see you there!  This event is FREE to Walnut Creek Chamber members; please remember to bring your business card. Guests are $20 (payable at the door-CASH & a business card) businesses.
