GENERAL
CAMPUS TOUR
Worried about finding your way around the Peninsula campus? Help is on the way! Link Crew is hosting campus tours for hybrid freshmen and transfer students TODAY. Cohort 1/Hybrid 1 is at 9:00 am and Cohort 2/Hybrid 2 is at 10:30 am. Tours will take about 30 minutes and students may be dropped off in front of the gym. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes, bring your class schedule and wear a mask. You may not participate if you have traveled outside of California within the last 10 days and a completed green screen for COVID is required. A video version will be posted on Link Crew’s Instagram account as well as on TEAMS. Classes are asynchronous today.
 
FRESHFEST
Freshmen, this week is all about you! Join Link Crew for the virtual FreshFest 2021: The Happiest Place on Earth and enjoy a week full of your favorite Disney movies, characters, throwbacks and more, ending with a big bash on Friday, Apr. 9. Follow the Link Crew Instagram page @pvphslinkcrew, check out the Link Crew TEAMS page or contact your leaders for more information. All the Freshfest activities are online via Instagram and TEAMS. AUCTION ITEMS NEEDED
The Peninsula Education Foundation’s Main Event annual fund raiser is looking for donations. It could be an item, wine, or a service. Deadline to donate is this Friday, April 9. Download the donation form here.
 
SENIOR ACTIVITIES
Senior yard signs will be delivered to every graduating senior the weekend of April 23 to 25. If you aren’t home, the sign will be there for you in your front yard or at your door. If you have questions about the yard signs, email Season Pollock at [email protected]. And this is only the beginning! Stay tuned.
 
BREAKFAST AND LUNCH
Curbside pickup hours for the free breakfast and lunch are now 11:00 am to 1:00 pm Monday through Friday. Come to the Gate 3 entrance before Basswood where the line forms outside the gym. This program is open to any student 18 and under and recipients do not need to be enrolled in PVPUSD. No pre-order required. All meals include an entrée, choice of milk and seasonal fruit and vegetables. Menus are at pvpusdschoolnutrition.net. 
 
JAPANESE COOKING CLASS
Now’s your chance to learn how to make Hanami Dango, an iconic, traditional tri-colored Japanese dessert. One of our Pen students will lead the class on Sunday, April 11 at 11 am. Sponsored by the PTSA Diversity, Equity and Inclusion committee, register here.
 
POPCORNOPOLIS
Help Pen’s Drama Boosters raise the money needed for the sound system and purchase Popcornopolis here. It will be shipped directly to you and all proceeds go to upgrade the sound system in the PAC. Deadline to order is this Friday, Apr. 16.

If you are interested in making the world a better place, consider applying for the UC approved Service Learning Leadership class. Students tackle some of the big challenges facing our world today. FIND YOUR PASSION 
Feeling overloaded academically and need a creative outlet in your school day? Want to find your community on the PVPHS campus? Looking for a way interact with other students who share similar interests during class? Register for one of PVPHS' award-winning arts programs and learn from a faculty passionate about their subjects and have fun as well. Contact Mr. Cohen ([email protected]) or Mr. Karg ([email protected]) or contact your counselor to make sure you have an arts class on your schedule for the fall. You’ll be glad you did.

MS FUNDRAISER
Visit Chipotle in the Peninsula Center TODAY between 4:00 and 8:00 pm and help raise money for the National MS Society. Sponsored by the MS Awareness club, just show the clerk the flyer available on Instagram (@msawarenesspvphs) or simply tell them you are a supporter of the MS fundraiser and a percentage of your order will go to the National MS Society. CAREER PATHWAYS
Come and meet U.S. Congressman Ted Lieu for a Zoom interview TODAY at 3:30 pm. Hosted by Career Pathways club, students will have the opportunity to submit questions for Congressman Lieu to answer at the meeting. The Pediatric Therapy Network Athletic Association Zoom meeting is TODAY at 12:15 pm. If you are interested in sports and helping children with special needs, this is the club for you.
