With Thanks & Gratitude...
SKSF Staff, Melvin Ortiz and Toni Duran helping out at the CO Springs Country Club event
Thank you  Ruthie Lohrig-Kline  and the Colorado Springs Country Club members for organizing their 1st annual charity golf tournament benefiting Special Kids Special Families programs. This was a fun event and we are grateful to all the participants, volunteers and sponsors for helping raise money to help fund our programs for children and adults with disabilities.

Mark Warren will be missed! Sunday, September 30th was Mark's official retirement date! Since 2007, Mark has worked with Special Kids Special Families in the Accounting department and has kept meticulous records of our organization! He's done a fantastic job over the years with a positive and gracious attitude! We will miss his smiling face and warm presence at our management meetings. His future days of fishing, hunting and enjoying his family and grandchildren are well deserved. As his loving wife Linda said it best - "Turn the page, Babe! You're off the clock now!"
Wishing Mark the very best in his retirement -
From everyone at Special Kids Special Families!

Special Kids Special Families is excited to announce that we received a Walmart Giving grant from Walmart at 1575 Space Center Dr and Fountain Sams Club at 4385 Venetucci Blvd. We appreciate these grants in which will help support our Zach's Place program for children with disabilities and special needs!

The event will raise funds for Zach’s Place at the Laurie Hillyard Family Center, SKSF’s founding program. Zach’s Place is one of only two licensed facilities in the state of Colorado with the focus and training to provide both respite and day care for children with intellectual, physical and emotional disabilities.
For the first time in the history of the Boston Comedy Festival, a female comedian took home the competition’s top prize — and she’s from Colorado! Nancy Norton  lives in Boulder County.
