Support a Local Scout by Donating Supplies this #GivingTuesday, 12/3!
Giving Tuesday is a global day that’s all about giving back and presents a great opportunity to help grow Scouting in your community! The Dan Beard Council has decided to change things up and do
#GivingTuesday
a little differently this year.
We created
three new initiatives
(Camp, Outreach and COPE/Climbing)
where you can help provide specific supplies for Scouts across the Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky area. These include uniforms, books, camping supplies and more. You’ll be providing youth with the chance to have fun, gain confidence and become leaders who live the Scout Oath and Scout Law.

Six Days Away from the Largest & Most Exciting Training Event of the Year - Scouting U!
Scouting U is less than a week away but don't fret, there is still time to sign up! For those who have yet to register, arrive at Princeton High School on

This popular event improves the advancement of your troop and provides youth the opportunity to explore vocations and new hobbies while working on merit badges. Catalog and class matrices for each of the 4 locations is available online

Scout Impact Project: A Good Turn for your Community Sign Up Begins Monday, December 2nd!
In 2020, Dan Beard Council units will be partnering with their chartered partners to provide a good turn for their local communities during the month of April. Together, the goal is to provide
30,000 new service hours
all over the tri-state area. On

, an online survey will open, and unit leaders will be able to sign up to participate in this month of service.

Friends of Scouting Annual Giving Campaign
Friends of Scouting is our local annual fundraising campaign to support our local Scouting programs. Friends of Scouting helps to ensure a strong and vibrant Scouting program here in Southwest Ohio and Northern Kentucky. Over the next couple of months, a volunteer will likely visit your unit to share more about how giving back helps to change lives, impact our community, and support future generations. Advancement Corner
As 2019 winds down, it is important to note that for a
Cub Scout to be recognized with rank advancement, the proper paperwork needs to be turned in as soon as possible. Paperwork not turned in by the end of the year delays all Scouts from properly advancing and can deter the Scout from returning to action. Please get all advancement paperwork in on time to keep the momentum of the Scout going!

Do you know a registered Scouter who have made an impact on lives of the Scouting youth through service? Anyone can nominate any deserving registered Scouter to the council for the
Silver Beaver Award
. The prestigious award is selected for those who implement the Scouting program and perform community service through hard-work, self-sacrifice, dedication, and many years of service. If you know a registered Scouter who fits that description, nominate them by
