Adam Savage from Tested & Mythbusters ordered another Cosmonaut kit a few weeks ago. I don't make info like that public, but since he now has, I can now share. I included a handwritten letter thanking him and asking if there was anything he could do to help spread the word about the issue of recasting. Being the awesome guy I've always been told that he is, he just released a PSA video about the issue and showing off the Cosmonaut kits. It truly means the world to me and to all of us in the original garage kit biz that he was willing to help us out with this devastating issue. Clink the image below to check out the video :
If you're a recent customer you may have noticed the "No-Recast" cards that I try to place in all of my shipments. The goal of these cards is to inform customers about the damages recasting does to small businesses such as Industria Mechnaika. (literally "garage" kits) It's not the cost of the resin that makes originals more expensive, it's the fact that we original artists and designers have all of the development costs that need paid as well. Materials, artists, etc... they all get paid for by us and we need to sell kits to make those costs back BEFORE we turn any sort of meager profit for our efforts.

Recasters simply copy our hard work and absorb none of those development costs, nor do they pay the original artists. It's theft and greed and their supporters seem to display a bewildering sense of entitlement, not caring who gets hurt, as long as they get what they want cheaply even if it means poor quality, difficult, not fun to build kits from these bootleggers. So please support small original art businesses such as ours and help spread the word. On behalf of myself and my family whom I try to support with this small business, I thank you.

A positive side effect of the awesome video is that it's really promoted Industria Mechanika's fantastic line of original kits from original artists. So much so in fact that we're running low on stock or even sold out for many designs. Fear not however because we've already got many of them in production for their next batches and they're available now for preorders . Keep in mind that quality production takes a lot of time for resin kits so some preorders will not ship until after the holidays. Check the estimate in the green box for our best guess as to when we'll have kits in-hand to put the kit packages together for shipping. Thanks!

We're accepting submissions in out Facebook iMech Builders Group so that we can start including customer build-ups in our emails. Post a few images of your submissions in THIS THREAD and of course post in the group as usual for progress and final build discussions!

Submissions can be good final images or interesting in-progress pics. Please include a short description and optionally your name/website so we can link back to you.

I've always enjoyed sharing my works and love seeing what others do with the kits I design and produce. I look at our products as blank canvases limited only by your imagination. It's fantastic seeing everyone's take on color schemes and setting as well as modifications. I figure this is a great way of sharing great build-ups with those who might miss them otherwise.

Thanks!
