RCOC closing 10 Mile, Novi to Taft this Saturday
Full day closure required to repair culvert, prep for work later this summer
The Road Commission for Oakland County will be closing 10 Mile Road between Novi Road and Taft Road this Saturday, May 11, to replace a culvert under the road.

The work is expected to start around 8am and wrap up by the end of the day. In the case of inclement weather, work will take place on May 12.

Motorists are encouraged to follow the detour, Novi Road to Grand River Avenue to Taft Road and vice versa.

Residents who live along this portion of 10 Mile Road will have access to their homes during the project, as will those who are planning to come to the Novi Civic Center campus for events.

City rolls out new smartphone app to enhance connections with residents
Connecting with the City has gotten even easier with the new City of Novi smartphone app.

The app, which can be found in the Apple iTunes store or Google Play by simply searching "City of Novi," gives you one-click access to the information you use the most.

Use the app to register for a Novi Parks program, report a concern, see what's happening around the City or or connect with City Hall.
Experience 'A Day in the Life of a Novi Firefighter'
Unique program open to Novi residents 18+ takes place Saturday, June 8

This unique program, offered to residents over the age of 18, is for those who want to learn more about fire operations and possibly pursue a position as a Paid-on-Call Firefighter in Novi.

Activities at the event include learning the basics of search and rescue, extrications and extinguishing fires. Registration is required and applicants must be in good physical shape. Register today at cityofnovi.org or call 248.361.1425 for additional information.
Apply to serve on Planning, Parks Commission
Applications must be submitted to City Clerk's office by Friday, May 24
The City is looking for dedicated volunteers who wish to give back to the community by serving on either the Planning Commission or Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services Commission.

Applications can be found at cityofnovi.org and must be submitted to the City Clerk's office by Friday, May 24. You must be a registered voter to apply.
