News from the CADDYSHACK
Hello Theatre Lovers,

This past Wednesday the Blue Mountain Cascade Putting Course was once again full of Theatre Collingwood “Putting for the Arts” enthusiasts. What a glorious group of colourful golfers! Our theme this year was CADDYSHACK and people definitely interpreted that in many different ways (we’re theatre people so anything goes!) I’d like to thank everyone who came out to try their hand at this challenging course and to support Theatre Collingwood. The results are in and we raised $9,500 for Theatre Collingwood at this little putting event!
An event like this one does not just happen and many people deserve a giant thank you:

Thank you to Blue Mountain Resort for donating the putting for everyone! It was a hit once again! I would also like to thank the staff at the putting course. They were so friendly and helpful.
I would like to sincerely thank Deb Piggott and Karen Eluck for arranging for Copper Blues Bar & Grill to sponsor the dinner portion of the event. Copper Blues donated ALL the meals for everyone who attended! The staff were fantastic and did an outstanding job preparing and serving us our delicious dinners. Thank you to Karii and her whole team at Copper Blues for their generous support!
Special thanks to our event sponsor, Crozier & Associates Consulting Engineers, for being our sponsor and for sending such a fun team! Crozier is another example of a company that supports the community and is a wonderful corporate partner to many!

Thank you to Andy Dumas for being our volunteer photographer for the day, and to his wife Jamie for her talent selling tickets on the course for our raffle.
Our auction would not have been a success without the incredible work that Ginny Gilbert did in acquiring many of the auction items. Thank you Ginny Gin!
Thank you to everyone who became a hole sponsor or helped us to get them! All 18 holes were sponsored.

Thank you to Valerie, Linda and Anne for their fantastic job decorating, organizing, and running the event. These ladies did so much work and are so appreciated!

Thank you to all who attended, your generous support makes a huge difference our success as a theatre company. And to those who dressed for the CADDYSHACK theme….BRAVO!
Up next at Theatre Collingwood:

The year is not over and neither is the entertainment. Please join us back at the Blue Mountain Inn for SOUL SISTERS November 20 th -22 nd (performances at 8pm each night). SOUL SISTERS tells the story of the women of Soul Music and R&B. Starting with Big Mama Thornton, Etta James, Aretha Franklin, and Gladys Knight, through to the 60’s and 70’s with Patti LaBelle, Diana Ross and Tammi Terrell, and including the music of Tina Turner, Chaka Kahn, and Janet Jackson! This show is a concert and story and is packed with talent. It comes to us from our friends Chris McHarge & Colin Stewart, the folks that brought us the very popular “Rockin’ All Night - Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, & The Big Bopper” show in 2018! Please gather your friends and come on out, and remember that The Pottery Restaurant is right there in the same building, so you may even want to have dinner first! Call our office at 705-445-2200 for tickets, or shop on line at theatrecollingwood.ca . Thank you to our Production Sponsor, Royal LePage Locations North for their generous support of this show!
Don’t forget to mark December 20 th in your calendar for our staged reading of Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol” at First Presbyterian Church. We will have more information for you next week with regards to the readers, but we guarantee a wonderful and peaceful evening out in which to celebrate the season with friends and this traditional story. Tickets are just $25 each and will include mulled cider and Christmas cookies following the show.
I was down to Toronto this week at the CAA to see Mirvish’s production of PIAF/DIETRICH – A LEGENDARY AFFAIR. For those of you who came to hear Louise Pitre sing for us this summer AT First Presbyterian Church, she spoke of this show coming up, starring her and Jayne Lewis. It was absolutely fantastic! I was so pleased to hear Louise sing many of the Piaf songs she sang for us in Collingwood. I would highly recommend this production!
Stay tuned for our announcement of our 2020 playbill! Early Bird Subscriptions will go on sale in November. Details to follow, but we can tell you it will be GREAT!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone, thanks so much and I will see you at the theatre!
