REMINDERS
  • The Woodland @ Kirksey football game has been rescheduled for Sat., Oct. 12. 7th grade will play at 12:30 p.m. and 8th grade will play around 1:45 p.m. The 8th grade game will begin 15 minutes after the conclusion of the 7th grade game.
  • There will be a joint Board of Education/Parent Teacher Organization meeting Oct. 21 at 6 p.m. at the Fayetteville High School Performing Arts Center. The topic will be the district's strategic plan.
  • United Way Hats & Hoodies Day is next Fri., Oct. 18! Students can wear a hat or hoodie that day and pay a suggested donation of $1 as a donation to support United Way.
  • The Woodland Library will hold a Scholastic Book Fair Tues., Oct. 21-24 from 7:45 a.m.-3:45 p.m. It will also be open to families Oct. 22 from 3:45-6:45 p.m. 
  • The Fayetteville Public Schools Cadet Winter Guard will kick off our 2020 season with a tryout clinic on Oct. 30 at FHS. The Cadet Guard is open to ANY student, grades 6-9 enrolled in a Fayetteville PSD Campus. No experience necessary.   • Parents/guardians of 8th grade students: AR Children's Hospital sponsors a Project Prevent program so students in grades 8-12 can make a 30-second video about being tobacco free. Videos must be submitted by Dec. 15. for more info, go to www.healthy.arkansas.gov and type Project Prevent in the search box.
  • The Elks Club is sponsoring a drug awareness essay contest. This year's theme is "Life does not rewind, choose life not drugs." The contest is  open to all 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students, and the deadline to submit entries is Nov. 30. Please see the link below for more info and entry form.

Jersey Dance Tonight

Student Council invites all students to its Jersey Night Dance tonight in the Woodland cafeteria from 7-9 p.m.

Admission is $5 at the door. There will be music, games, dancing, snacks, and fun!
Parent-Teacher Conference Info

Fall Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held Tues., Oct. 22 from 3:45-6:45 p.m. OR Fri., Oct. 25 from 8:30-11:30 a.m.

Parents and guardians will be receiving an email with more information. You can sign up for conferences at the link below.  If you have any questions, please call the front office at (479) 444-3067.

Flu Shot Clinic Oct. 21

The Washington County Health Department will be at Woodland Mon., Oct. 21 to give flu shots to students. If you want your child to receive a flu shot, please have them pick up a flu shot form from the nurse's office or the front office. Both forms MUST be completed and turned in to the nurse's office by Fri., Oct. 18.
