- October  2018 -

Dear Friends,

Have you ever been awed by someone who always seems to go the extra mile?  They take care of things without being asked; they intuitively see to people's needs at just the right moment.  They are the reason our programs thrive; they are the reason people love our organizations and continue to support them.  Our organizations and our communities would be lost without them.  At Leadership Harrisburg Area, we see these folks all the time.  We are witness to outstanding service over and over again.  So often, we see people who go the extra mile and we want to hold them up as inspiration to others.  So, we created The Extra Mile Award.

The Extra Mile Award is for EMPLOYEES and/or VOLUNTEERS in service to a non profit organization, community group, faith based institution, school, municipality, or service organization in Cumberland, Dauphin, or Perry Counties.

Nominations for The Winter 2018 Extra Mile Awards are due by November 1.  There is no cost to make a nomination and multiple nominations may be submitted by the same individual or organization for both EMPLOYEE and/or VOLUNTEER categories.

All finalists will be contacted and invited to attend our Leadership Speakers Series event on Thursday, December 13 at the Radisson Convention Center from 7:30-9:00 AM as guests of LHA.  Awardees will be recognized as part of the program and multiple awards may be presented.

The nomination process is short and simple.  Just click on the link below and select either the EMPLOYEE or VOLUNTEER category and complete the nomination form.  Tell us WHY this person should receive The Extra Mile Award and give us some great examples that make your nominee stand out from the rest!
