IT'S FAFSA SEASON!

Your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is one of the first steps in securing financial aid to attend college. We can help you and your family complete your FAFSA accurately and on time. 

You can start filling out the FAFSA on October 1st! You and your family can start by gathering the documents  you will need to complete the FAFSA.

What do you like most about being a part of CollegeTracks?
Being part of CollegeTracks, I feel like I know I won't get lost with the amount of people; and that I feel included with every workshop we have. Also that I am thankful to say that I am on top of everything because of CollegeTracks and their help and support. 


What major do you want to study?
I want to major in civil engineering and  business. 

What advice do you have for juniors who are beginning their college application journeys?
It's always great to grind things out early to allow you to relax later. Also never to be afraid of asking any questions; CollegeTracks will be there for you throughout the entire process.

As you research your college application deadlines, you will see terms like "Early Action" and "Early Decision."  Although the names sound similar, they are very different. Use the chart below to distinguish the differences and apply by the appropriate deadline! If you have any questions about the difference, stop by CollegeTracks!

SENIORS DO NOW!

  • Attend after school  workshops (Mon, Tues, OR Thur)
  • Complete your Self-Reflection on Naviance 
  • Complete your resume
  • Submit the  Transcript Request/Release form (Yellow Form)  to Mrs. Bonner
  • Ask TWO teachers for Letter of Recommendation and add them on Naviance  
  • Add colleges to the  "Colleges I'm Thinking About" tab in Naviance
  • Send your college essay draft to Mrs. Olszewski and Ms. V (use emails above) for review and feedback  
  • Continue working on your Common Application and link your account to Naviance
  • Continue working on your Coalition Application if you are applying to University of Maryland- College Park or Virginia Tech
  • Schedule your  FAFSA appointment
  • Identify 4 scholarships that you can apply for
