Our mission is to ensure that undergraduate students from all disciplines have the opportunity to engage in research, scholarly and creative activities during their time at USD.
Travel Award Funding is Available!
Thanks to Associated Students (AS), we have additional funding available for travel awards. If you are planning to present at a conference before June 4, you can apply for up to $500 for an individual or $1,000 as a group to fund your travel to the conference. Applications are on a first come first serve basis. For more information, click here!

Off Campus Research Opportunity
The Bermuda Institute of Ocean Sciences (BIOS) 2018 Research Experiences for Undergraduates- Fully Funded, Marine, Oceanographic, and Atmospheric Undergraduate Internships! BIOS has received funding from NSF to support eight internships for undergraduate student research during fall 2018 (August 26 to November 17, 2018). 
This program provides recipients with the opportunity to design and conduct intensive, hands-on research projects, under faculty supervision and mentorship. -Biological, chemical and physical oceanography 
  • Biology, physiology and biogeochemistry of coral reef ecosystems 
  • Molecular biology of marine organisms 
  • Environmental chemistry of Bermuda's atmosphere and inshore waters 
  • Effects and consequences of global environmental change 
Underrepresented groups are particularly encouraged to apply.
