This year Educate Maine celebrates an exciting milestone: 10 years of building Maine’s future workforce. In 2011, Educate Maine was formed through a merger of two Maine organizations, Maine Coalition for Excellence in Education and Maine Compact for Higher Education. Recognizing the connection between an educated population, a growing economy, and vibrant communities, Educate Maine has focused on building career readiness by increasing the educational attainment of Maine people over the past 10 years. We know everyone benefits when business, education, and policymakers work together to ensure ALL students have the opportunity to learn and reach their potential.
In celebration of our 10-year anniversary, Educate Maine is kicking off a campaign that will center on stories of the students, educators, partners, and others who have shaped our work over the past decade. Over the next several months we will look back and reflect on our impact as an organization and highlight particular memories that are meaningful to our staff, board members, partners, and volunteers. Each month you will notice a particular theme to our communications. March will focus on students; they are the center of our work and inform our programs, partnerships, and advocacy.
We hope you will celebrate with us throughout 2021. Please follow our social media channels so you don’t miss any of our stories, photos, profiles, or videos. We will use our newsletters and social media channels to share upcoming events and highlight ways you can be involved with our organization. Do you have a favorite memory of participating in one of Educate Maine’s programs? Did one of our programs impact the work you do at your school or organization? We would love to hear from you. You can complete this form to share how Educate Maine has had an impact on your life.
Thank you for supporting Educate Maine over the past 10 years. We are thrilled to work with you to build Maine’s future workforce. All Maine people must have access to a quality education that provides them with the knowledge and skills required for a career and economic success. We are proud of our work to enable all students to succeed in postsecondary education and in the workplace and look forward to building on our progress over the last 10 years. We can’t wait to share our vision for what is next.
Sincerely,
