The presentation was demonstrated by her 47 slide PowerPoint presentation highlighting the inspiration, representative quilts, and the stitching designs used. The quilts ranged from table runners to bed-sized quilts and from edge-to-edge to highly custom quilting. In addition to the slides she brought 35 quilts as samples that were displayed and placed on a table for general perusal.
The question and answers at the end were very informative. One member asked about the proper way of making borders for a quilt.
This was followed by rewarding the two quilters who volunteered to show the sample quilts with their choice of a free pattern. There also was a "drawing," of sorts, to give away two Mastering Perfect Corners Combo with the Perfect Corner Ruler.
From my vantage point, running the PowerPoint and judging from the laughter, everyone was having a good and productive time. I know that I did.
I want to take this opportunity to thank our son, Peter, for joining us to carry all of the quilts, patterns, and equipment to, from, to, and from the car. Thank you, Peter.
