Building Future Leaders
The Eden Prairie Chamber’s strategic plan highlights the need to continue to build future leaders – both in the Chamber, our businesses and the community as a whole. A few of the ways we are doing this include providing key programs for our businesses as well as connecting with our schools.
Recently, our Chamber partnered with the St. Paul Saints, their co-owner Mike Veeck, and Fun is Good to offer our members a very unique opportunity to gain insight into providing great customer service and increasing staff engagement. Almost 50 area business people joined us as we heard the St. Paul Saints story of success and got a behind the scenes tour of their award winning stadium.
Scholarships Awarded
We were very pleased to provide two $1,500 scholarships to our STEM and Entrepreneur/Business scholarships recently. Each year the Chamber awards scholarship to deserving students to help them further their education and become tomorrow’s business leaders. This year, our two recipients were:
Engaging with our Schools
Recently, the Chamber brought together our new High School Principal, Robb Virgin, and Assistant Superintendent, Stacie Stanley, to discuss with some of our major employers how we can better connect students to career opportunities. The Chamber is looking to do more in connecting our businesses with the schools and building off of the success we have with our Career Fair (October 23) and our Student Membership Program, now entering its 11

Business@Breakfast is a great opportunity for businesses that depend on referrals and one-on-one interaction to make meaningful and lasting connections. Attendees should come prepared with a stack of 35-50 business cards and a 30-45 second commercial about their business. Arrive at 7:15 for 15 minutes of networking before we hear from each participant.

August 27: Ladies on the Links Golf Tournament
Are you looking to network and connect with other business women in the Eden Prairie area? We've got you covered. Grab your sunscreen and head to Bent Creek for a day at the course with your girlfriends!
You don't have to be a Chamber member or LPGA player to participate, so feel free to bring a guest or two to join the party. This tournament is notorious for feeling too fun to be a great networking opportunity out of the office.
