Presiding Bishop and Primate Resting After Surgery
Episcopal Church Presiding Bishop and Primate Michael Curry is resting comfortably following surgery on Tuesday, July 31. According to the Presiding Bishop's family and his medical team, the surgery went well, as had been expected. Bishop Curry is resting, and a full recovery continues to be anticipated.

Pick Your Own Day at Bellwether Farm
Come visit Bellwether Farm on
August 4
from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. to participate in the "Pick Your Own" day. The current harvest includes:
tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, onions, potatoes, carrots, beans, swiss chard, kale, cucumbers, salad mix, herbs and flowers.
We ask that individuals/families consider maki
ng a donation in exchange for the produce.

Happening Reunion
Anyone who has ever Happened in the Dioceses of Ohio is invited to the first
Happening Reunion on

Seed Saving Workshop at Bellwether Farm
Cohosted with the Cleveland Seed Bank
, the Seed Saving Workshop on August 11 will allow participants to learn the basics of harvesting and saving different types of seed--from vegetables to wildflowers--and how seed-saving benefits communities and biodiversity. Then everyone will taste the fruits of the field at a farm-to-table dinner. The registration is $15 and availability is limited. More information is available at bellwetherfarm.com.

and Canons
Proposed Amendments to the Diocese of Ohio Constitution & Canons are to be submitted using the

, and must be received by August 13 to be considered at the 2018 Convention. The weekend will be $150 for a family of four and $25 extra per additional person.

Lay and Clergy Leadership Conference
The 2018
Lay and Clergy Leadership Conference will be held at Bellwether Farm on
September 22 from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. The theme of this year's conference is "Riding Backwards Bicycles: Practical Ways to Join God's Work" and the speaker is
Michael Binder. The conference is $25 per person, or $10 per person for a team of four or more.

Carillon Concert on the Lawn
St. Paul's, Cleveland Heights will hold the third annual Carillon Concert on the Lawn on Friday,

Frankfurter Fridays at Church of the Ascension
Join the Church of the Ascension, Lakewood for
free 100% Beef Hotdogs and fun for all ages. Cornhole, frisbee, croquet, and kids lawn activities will also be available on the front lawn from 6:00-7:00 p.m. on Friday, August 3 and continuing every other Friday throughout the summer.

Ohio Flags of Honor
, a traveling memorial to the men and women who have given their lives in Afghanistan, Iraq, and globally in the War on Terrorism. The ceremony begins on August 3 at 6:30 p.m. The flags will be on display all day on August 4, and the closing ceremony begins on August 5 and 2:00 p.m. For more information, visit:

Grace Community Bell Choir Concert
The Grace Community Bell Choir, lead by Heather Carman, is having a concert at Grace, Sandusky on Sunday, August 5, at 3:00 p.m. This will be a collection of various pieces including Be Thou My Vision, Amazing Grace, and other hymn selections. This concert is free and open to the public.

Kinship Parenting Support Group
St. Patrick's, Brunswick is holding a free
Kinship Parenting Support Group. The upcoming meeting will be held on
August 6 at 6:30 p.m. The meetings are held on the first and third Mondays of each month. At these confidential meetings, attendees will find empathetic listeners and informational assistance. Childcare and snacks will be provided. RSVP with the number attending to 330.220.2777.

Alice Active Live Shooter Training
ALICE Training Institute®, a leading active shooter response training company, will be holding a hands-on class at St. Paul's, Medina on Wednesday,
August 15
at 6:30 p.m. This
training
will empower trainees to participate in their own survival if an active shooter comes into their church or house of worship. We believe this training will be of special interest to clergy, worship ministers and assistants, and congregational leadership.

Flea Market at New Life, Uniontown
New Life, Uniontown is having a Junk in the Trunk Flea Market on Saturday, August 25 to help fund its substantial Summit and Stark County outreach programs. The event will run from 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. and will be located in the church parking lot, which is just off a main road. Each $10 space is the width of a parking space and about 20' long.
