COVID-19 Updates & Petition / Board of County Commissioners Meeting Next Tuesday
Dear Members,
At next Tuesday's (July 14th) Board of County Commissioners Meeting, the Commissioners are set to hear the COVID-19 Status Report and provide further direction as appropriate. This agenda item is set for no earlier that 1:00pm. The CCMS board is requesting that the County issue appropriate requirements for masks/face coverings in indoor, public spaces. We encourage all physicians to sign our
physicians' petition to the Commissioners (another
general petition, not specific to physicians, is also available), and for all concerned citizens to provide supporting comments for this upcoming meeting.
All persons wishing to provide comments at the commission meeting must register prior to presentation of the item to be addressed. All registered speakers receive up to 3 minutes unless the time is adjusted by the chairman. Individuals who would like to participate remotely should register at
https://zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_mOaMBIwQQgGoHoWFzi9wvQ. Participating remotely, live, is preferred however if you are unable to, you can also
email/call your commissioners in advance.
If you are interested in providing comments, you can review the previous
recommendations from the CCMS board to the Collier County Commissioners.
The AMA has recently updated its
COVID-19 guides for physicians, which include topics ranging from ethics and testing, to practice management and advocacy.
The CCMS Board has again extended the
CCMS Physician Wellness Program services to non-member physicians and CCMS Alliance members for another month. These groups can use the program through the end of August.
