SCSS NEWSLETTER

Dear Parents,

Our SCSS school community came together this past Sunday and shared true fellowship with each other at the Trunk and Treat. This year we had over 30 cars that participated. Student Council had fun games for the children and even the Nichols Fire Department came to join in the fun! The sound of our school children laughing and walking with each other from car to car was heart warming.

The amount of support from our school parents and families that were sharing in this fun and excitement was amazing and the positive feed back of how well the event went has lasted all week. Thank you to Mr. and Mrs. Palmieri for organizing the event and to all the parents that came out to Trunk & Treat with us!

Quote from Pope Francis:

"What zest life acquires when we allow ourselves to be filled by the love of God!"

May you all feel the love of God in your lives.

Faithfully Yours,

Miss Giaquinto

Walk-A-Thon News

Our Walkathon Day has almost arrived! Tomorrow is the big day and we are ready to walk and show our SCSS school spirit!

Our goal was for each walker to raise $100. Collections are still coming in; to date we have raised approximately $17,000.00.

We are so excited and thankful for the generous donations we have received thus far!

Each student who has reached the $100 goal will receive a SCSS Baseball Cap with our school logo on it.

For every $50 a student raises they will receive a raffle ticket to be put into a drawing for a gift card.

Congratulations to our 3rd week winners:

Bella- Grade 1

Nurse News From Mrs. Hogan
Autumn is a beautiful time of year but as the weather gets cooler outside, head colds, sore throats, fevers and viruses enter homes and school settings.
Please help keep our school community healthy and prevent the spread of illness. If your child is sick, please keep them at home.

Remember to send your child to school with a warm jacket and other accessories. These items are needed in order to go outside for recess and for outdoor classes on gym days.

Keeping the children warm and healthy is our goal!
