Shari Rogge-Fidler recently joined Farm Foundation, bringing a breadth of executive, academic and managerial experience in production agriculture, business management, national and international finance, conservation and soil health issues. The Board of Directors felt that Shari's experience aligns well with the ongoing work of Farm Foundation.

New Forum: Exploring Outcome-Based Pricing in Agriculture

Farm Foundation partners with USDA Economic Research Service on Emerging Leader Development program
|
Farm Foundation, in collaboration with ERS, will create a new
Farm Foundation Agricultural Scholars Program that will take 10 graduate-level economics students through a year of programming.
The program seeks to inspire and train the next generation of agricultural economists interested agricultural policy, commodity market analysis, agricultural finance, and other applied fields of economics.
Details will be sent to land grant universities in the coming weeks

Farm Foundation and FDA unite on antibiotics education
|
Farm Foundation will join with the FDA and other key stakeholders to educate farmers, veterinarians and others about the upcoming regulatory change that will require a veterinarian’s prescription to purchase injectable antibiotics used in animals, eliminating over the counter (OTC) purchase of such antibiotics. Farm Foundation will facilitate panel discussions at several large annual industry meetings in 2020, develop a retail-level communications plan and create a website geared toward educating end users about the regulatory change.
The public comment period on the new FDA draft guidance for industry (GFI) #263 is open through the end of December 2019.

Farm Foundation announces 2020 Cultivators
|
Farm Foundation announced the names of six exceptional students who have been named January 2020 Farm Foundation Cultivators. These upper class and graduate-level students were nominated by their accredited colleges or universities for being the best and brightest in their classes and will participate in the January 2020 Farm Foundation Round Table meeting in Washington, DC.
