My SMV Family

Home & School News

We are the Schmidt family; 7th grader Elizabeth, Monica, Chad, and Honey.
We moved to Elm Grove and became a part of the SMV community in 2012. Before that, we lived in a suburb of Memphis, TN. As a family, we enjoy visiting extended family in NY, FL, AK, and MA.
When possible, we like to squeeze in a day in NYC and Disney World when we visit the grandparents in FL and NY. Disney Cruises are another family favorite.
SMV has become our WI family and we are so thankful for it. As an only child, Elizabeth has really benefited from the small class size. It has been fun to watch the girls in 7th grade grow up together through scouts, sports, and other activities. They had weekly zoom calls during the lockdown and did Secret Santas the last two years. Drama free junior high years have been a true blessing!
The 5th graders made a chain of "Thanks" for the Elm Grove Firefighter and EMT workers.

Our Blarney in a Box fundraiser will kick off next week! So much harmless and amusing nonsense is in store for our entire SMV community! Five things you need to know this week:
1. Buy your Blarney T-shirt in frost green, white, or gray. Check out our cool SMV Celtic cross logo! For those fans of the 2019 Supper Club shirt, this is the same supplier! And, we removed the event date from the shirt so that the fashion is "timeless."  St. Mary's Elm Grove - Blarney in a Box Shirts
