Debunking the Lies About Sadness

Like the movie "Inside Out," we are always trying to push "sadness" out of the way, to get rid of her. "Sadness" is an unwanted emotion. And why not, sadness steals our fun, disrupts our peace, and affects our joy. Sadness makes us feel alone, discouraged, basically off in general.
But I'm going to tell you a secret. There are times when it's okay to feel sad.

Have you ever been trapped in the mistakes of your past?
Sometimes past memories are twinged with guilt, shame, and embarrassment. The enemy wants to convince us our messy pasts erode any promise for our future.
God doesn't judge us in the way we judge others. Nor does He use our status, accomplishments, or a blemish-free record as the determining factor for His ability to use us in service to Him.
Don't keep looking back and dwelling on the mistakes of your past-you aren't going that way! Look ahead to what God is going to do in and through you for your good and His glory.

Advancing the Gospel Headed to New Territory!

Meet Rob and Meredith Kendall, the founders of Advancing the Gospel, formerly known as Against the Grain.
For 15 years, Rob and Meredith have been on a mission to empower and educate. They have reached thousands of individuals and families in low-income communities, jails, prisons, crisis pregnancy centers, and homeless shelters in the Nashville area. And now, God is opening a door for them to plant a church, and plow new ground for single women, in Fort Myers, Florida. The work will continue here in Nashville with the help of volunteers, but Rob and Meredith are headed into new territory.
We are so proud of them and believe in the work God has called them to do. That is why we (LICM) partner with them financially. Ten percent of all donations we receive from our partners, and joyful friends of the ministry, goes to help Advancing the Gospel.
