We are very excited to share your events and news as a free benefit of your membership and there is no fee associated with this new opportunity. Please note, we intend this to be limited to events that are unique and non-recurring such as milestones, open houses, seminars, etc. We are currently not offering this for events not directly associated with your business or networking events.

Rick King Appointed as Chair of Metropolitan Airports Commission

On June 28 th , Governor Tim Walz and Lieutenant Governor Peggy Flanagan announced the appointment of Eden Prairie resident and past EPC Board Member, Rick King–Thomson Reuters, as Chair of the Metropolitan Airports Commission.

Mr. King previously represented District B on the commission and currently chairs the Planning, Development, and Environmental Committee. He has been at Thomson Reuters since 2000 and is their Executive Vice President, Operations. Click the link below to hear more about, Rick King and his background.

July 16: Breakfast Networking

Join us for a casual, breakfast networking event on July 16th at OPH. No need to register; just show up, order what you would like, and participate in conversation with your fellow members as well as non-members! Please feel free to bring a guest or coworker to this event as well!

July 24: Cranes, Trains, and Economic Development Bus Tour

FREE EVENT---Join the Chamber as Dave Lindahl, Economic Development Manager for the City of Eden Prairie, takes us on a bus tour of Eden Prairie and highlights construction, development and new businesses you'll want to know about. We will finish the tour at Crave where you can stay and keep the conversation going over a beverage or two. Limited seating!

August 14: B@B Returns

Business@Breakfast is a great opportunity for businesses that depend on referrals and one-on-one interaction to make meaningful and lasting connections. Attendees should come prepared with a stack of 20-30 business cards and a 45 second commercial about their business. Arrive at 7:15 for 15 minutes of networking before we hear from each participant. 

Facilitator: Steven Tasler

Speaker: Todd Thiewes with Sandler Training will be speaking on sales. Sales can be mentally tough though it doesn't have to be. Learn from Todd at Sandler Training on how to separate your identity from your roles. Todd will cover the Sandler Success Triangle of behaviors, attitudes and technique.

The Sunrise Business Breakfast is a networking event created to bring small to medium sized businesses in the community together for an opportunity to learn more about our local businesses, gain knowledge through education, and share business challenges and opportunities. Be sure to bring your 60 second "creative" commercial detailing your business, upcoming special event, or a product offering you have. And don't forget to bring plenty of business cards for networking
