U.S. President Signs America's Water Infrastructure Act

President Trump signed into law America's Water Infrastructure Act of 2018, a comprehensive bill that makes much-needed investments in water infrastructure systems across the country. How Members 'Imagine a Day Without Water'

On Oct. 10, as part of the Value of Water Campaign's national day of action, members of JWW participated in a coordinated communications campaign.

With support from the JWW Education and Outreach Committee, members raised awareness through social media about our often-overlooked water systems.

Member Highlights

Peggy Gallos, executive director of the Association of Environmental Authorities and a member of the JWW Steering Committee , was a recent guest on the Water Values Podcast. Listen to her interview , during which, among other things, she provides a unique view on how water and sewer utilities find solutions to the challenges presented to them.

AEA  is hosting its annual conference Nov. 13-14 . More information here .



The NY/NJ Harbor & Estuary Program recently released a report to inform stakeholders in the CSO Long-Term Control Plan process as to what might be an ambitious and  realistic target for balancing green and gray infrastructure in Perth Amboy. 

HEP is hosting is annual conference on  Nov. 16 More information here .


The NJ DEP recently presented, before the Clean Water Council, rule updates on the Safe Drinking Water Act and the Private Well Testing Act. Other recent presentations include one on stormwater utilities as a transformative approach to funding stormwater management. See the full list here .    


Cooper's Ferry Partnership recently joined its partners  to celebrate the grand re-opening of the new and improved Alberta Woods Park , which includes a rain garden to capture stormwater.

Ridgewood Water is holding a series of open houses to inform customers how the utility intends to meet new federal standards for certain harmful chemical compounds.


Sandra Meola, director of the Coalition for the Delaware River Watershed and co-chair of the JWW Education and Outreach Committee , describes in a video the problems presented by stormwater and what we can do about it .
