Hogg Foundation
First3Years is one of 10 Texas organizations receiving a grant of $800,000 from the Hogg Foundation for Mental Health to support collaborative and inclusive approaches to well-being for communities in the Houston Metropolitan Statistical Area. The initiative focuses on children and youth of color and their families.

This grant will support collaborative and inclusive approaches to resiliency, mental health and well-being in the Baytown community with a focus on young children of color and their families. We will ensure that historically excluded and under-represented populations are included in this community-driven process. To learn more and get involved in our Collaborative, please contact Christy Serrano .

The Texas Cross Site for Infants and Toddlers is meant to be an opportunity for stakeholders to share what is and is not working within their com munities and come up with new solutions together. The state-wide summit will provide the opportunity for communities to pool resources around professional development, evaluation, and best practices.  Recognizing that many counties across the state have developed a specialized approach in addressing the unique needs of infants and toddlers in the child welfare system and many more are interested to do so, we're  hosting a two-day cross-site learning convening. who. Such vast interest in this area creates a valuable opportunity to build a learning community across counties in Texas that can not only learn from one another but with one another.
