CALLING ALL PRAYER WARRIORS
THURSDAY | NOVEMBER 1 | 6:30 TO 7:00 AM

In an effort to better prepare our hearts and minds for what God has been calling us to do in our community through the EveryONE initiative, VRBC will host brief prayer gatherings over the next couple of months. These focused gatherings will consist of Scripture reading, prayer, and reflection about our mission of inviting "everyone" who is not connected to Christ or a local church.

We know that prayer is our most powerful tool, so please join us for  these gatherings.  Our next EveryONE prayer gathering will be held on Thursday, November 1, in the VRBC Worship Center. Our last gathering for the year will be held on December 6.

"The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective." - James 5:16

PASTOR OF STUDENT MINISTRIES
SEARCH UPDATE

Our Pastor of Student Ministries Search Team, composed of Deke Knowlton (Chair), Leia Spoor, Karen McCord, Jaime Cato, Ken Bass, Scot Albert, and Jordan Schumacher, is continuing the process of finding the right person to lead our student ministry. The team's initial search and vetting process, which began in April and continued through the summer months, did not result in the recommendation of a candidate to present to the church family for consideration and vote. As a result, in an effort to broaden and aid the search efforts, the team decided to partner with Vanderbloemen Search Group--a company solely dedicated to helping churches find and hire great pastors and staff members.

To that end, we are pleased to inform you that Vanderbloemen recently posted this position on their website. All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply via this  LINK. Also, we would welcome any assistance you can provide in getting the word out and sharing this link. And please continue to join with us in praying that God leads us to the right person for this very important pastoral position!
