A Note from Mrs. Ryan
Dear Parents,

St. Rose has been a fully accredited school since the 1970's. Our accrediting agencies are the Western Association of Schools and Colleges and the Western Catholic Education Association. The St. Rose teachers and I have been working very hard to complete our self-study accreditation document. We were originally slated to have our visit last March but were granted a one-year extension due to the fire. In order to preserve instructional days last year we gave up all of our accreditation inservice days. This has resulted in a very short window of time to complete the extensive document as we need to have the published book in the hands of our visiting committee by January. I am confident that our visit in March will go well and St. Rose will again receive a full-six year term of accreditation.

It is important that our self-study is informed by input from all of our shareholders. Some of you may remember completing the Parent Survey for Accreditation back in the Spring of 2016. Most of the data from that survey is still valid and is being used to complete our self-study. However a lot has happened in the past year and we want our document to reflect the current reality of our school. An addendum to the original survey has been created on SurveyMonkey and school parents will soon receive a link to the survey through email. It is essential that at least one parent from each family take a few minutes to complete this survey. Thank you, in advance, for your time.

There is great excitement, especially among the preschoolers and their teachers. The finishing touches are being put on St. Rose Preschool 2.0. Our preschool staff is looking forward to being back in their permanent home as this will be their third move and the third time they have gone through the extensive process of re-licensing. The building will be blessed on Sunday, November 4 th at 2:30 PM in a brief ceremony followed by an open house. We invite all school families to attend and see this new space which is very much like Preschool 1.0 but nicer in every way.

TAKE ANOTHER LOOK
DISMISSAL Every Day - THANK YOU to everyone who has adhered to what we have asked of you at dismissal time. We have noticed a difference.  Those who have a 3rd-8th grader in tutorial Tu - Th, please pull off to the side until tutorial is dismissed so not to block the flow in the traffic circle.  We really appreciate everyone's assistance in making the end of the day as stress free as possible for all.

The Cardinal Newman HS and St. Rose Administrations would like to remind ALL our parents to please be respectful and mindful of the following at the end of each school day:

1.  St. Rose parents of 1st-8th grade students should not be lined up in the lot or parked in the traffic circle before 2:45PM. The only cars that should be in the  traffic circle at 2:20pm are Kindergarten parents picking up at 2:30pm.
2. St. Rose parents should not be lined up in the parking lot until after 2:40PM, after SR Kindergarten & CN dismissal. It is best for those picking up 1st-8th grade students to NOT arrive on campus until after 2:45pm.
3 . St. Rose parents should not impede the flow of traffic between 2:15 - 2:45pm
4. NO ONE should ever block someone from exiting a parking space. You MUST leave your place in line to allow a parked car to exit.
5. At the end of every SR school day, some of our brave faculty and staff are out there to ensure the safety of all our students. Please be kind to them if they ask you to stop your car, wait, or move.

PLEASE, share this with ALL those adults in your family who come onto our busy campus to pick up your child(ren).  A gentle reminder to ALL, that this is a busy SCHOOL campus, where the speed limit is SLOW, patience needs to be practiced, and the safety of ALL students, Preschool - 12th grade is our #1 priority.
Let's be KIND & SAFE out there!
Thank You for your cooperation.
