No-Host Happy Hour This Friday
It's No-Host Happy Hour week...this  Friday January  30 4:00 pm , at the  Ramada This is a very laid back get together...happily, mostly everything in EE is laid back!  It's easy for everyone...just show up, bring your own eating utensils, beverages, an appetizer to share, and everyone helps with the cleanup.  That's it....it's fun and it's happy!
We Have New Wi-Fi at the Ramada!
Craig Surprise has installed a new updated wi-fi modem at the Ramada.
The wireless Internet service will operate from 6 am to 10 pm.  By restarting the equipment daily, operation from 6 am each day will be ensured (unless CenturyLink experiences a service outage).  Thanks Craig!
Chili Recipes
We have recipes for two of the delicious chili dishes served at the Hospitality Chili Dinner.  One is Keto White Chicken Chili from the Lindemans, and the other is Mild Red Chili with Ground Beef and Beans from Cheri Day.  Thanks Ken, Kathy, and Cheri!  See the recipes at  http://www.esperanzaestates.net/documents/chilirecipes.pdf  .  Both are scrumptious!
 NEWS
There's Still Time to Get Your Super Bowl Sausage!
The Optimist Club is having a Super Bowl Italian Sausage Sale.  10 packs of either Regular or Hot are available for $22 to the first 50 people who order thru the website:   https://sausage-102185.square.site/.   Pickup is Saturday, February 2, from 9 am to 12 pm at Woodward Construction, 620 W Ward Lane.  As always, all profits go to local youths.
GVR Board Election
GVR is holding an election of four GVR Board members in March, and they are encouraging GVR members to get out and vote. In the past the voter turnout has been low.  A small turnout does not necessarily represent the will of the Membership at large.  So, t his year GVR members will be able to vote at GVR Concierge Kiosks from February 17 to March 19 at select locations. Election and candidate information is available on the GVR website at https://www.gvrec.org/gvr-2020-election/ .
