Special Meeting to talk about all things PG&E
Monday, September 10, 4pm, Lafayette Library and Learning Center (Community Room)
Please note that the special City Council meeting concerning PG&E will begin at 4pm today. The regular City Council meeting will begin at 7pm, following the special meeting.
This afternoon is a special meeting that includes our City Council, PG&E, the CPUC (California Public Utilities Commission) and the public. The purpose of the meeting will be to create trust and confidence that Lafayette’s gas pipelines are safe, well-managed and supported by all parties. This issue has complicated layers, with many questions from the public that challenge the reasoning behind such anticipated programs like the removal of hundreds of trees. The meeting will be held at the Lafayette Library and Learning Center (Community Room). Focused goals, alternatives and informed compromise are being asked for by residents that have weighed in on this subject. You can read many of the comments by visiting
lafayettelistens.com.
