Upper School News
Though these are the winners of our Adobe and Northwestern Creative Jam (Congrats Team Trackcycle!), I must say I was hugely impressed with the tremendous work of all of our students today. Participants had the opportunity to develop their collaborative and creative skills, and boy did they knock it out of the park! Creative Jams are Adobe events where local design thought leaders share a behind-the-scenes peek into their processes and projects. Teams compete in a tournament-style event that puts their creative skills to the test using Adobe XD. What an amazing opportunity for our students! More pictures below:)

Upcoming information and events:

2nd Midquarters
This weekend, teachers will compile grades for the midpoint of the quarter and send home any needed reports. Reports will be emailed out early next week. One quick note here: for this Midquarter, all 9th graders and new students will not automatically receive a report for all classes - only for those where a check-in is necessary.

F all Musical- November 21 and 22 at 7pm
The fall musical is upon us! Please join us this coming weekend on Friday and Saturday to see our Upper School student production of  Chicago.  The cast and crew have worked so hard on the show, and we hope to see everyone there. All are welcome - there is no cost, and reservations are not needed. Come on out and support our Griffin performers!

Grandparents and Special Friends Day: Tuesday 11/26
On the Tuesday before Thanksgiving break, we invite all Grandparents and Special Friends to join us for a Grandparents' Day celebration. The event will take place from 8:30-11am and will feature performances by the Lower School, Middle School, and Upper School Choirs and Tumblers.  This year we have added an inter-generational panel discussion for our Middle and Upper School grandparents and friends. Final Exams
Finals for first semester will take place Tuesday-Friday, December 17-20. I ask that as you make holiday plans you make sure students are in attendance at school through the entire week. Students will not be given the option to take a final exam either early or late due to absence, and a student who does not take the final as scheduled may receive a zero for that exam. We appreciate your help in making sure students are here and ready for finals.

Project Linus
Many of you know the great project this is and the wonderful work Project Linus has done. As a school, we tie blankets during a portion of Wassail. In order to do this, we need to cut the blankets into rectangles and then fringe the ends. The directions are simple and require a person to be able to measure and cut in a straight line. If you or anyone you know can help Ms. Byrnes get these blankets prepared, we would be so grateful. Please let her know if you would like to volunteer: kbrynes@roycemoreschool.org
