I hope you had a nice holiday weekend. This brief email includes information about two important upcoming meetings.

Tonight, Fairfax County Public Schools will hold a virtual town hall to answer questions about the Return to School options for the 2020-21 school year. Details about the virtual town hall are included below.

In addition, if you live or commute in the Herndon/Reston area, I want to highlight a virtual public meeting I am participating in with Supervisor Walter Alcorn and Fairfax County Department of Transportation staff on Wednesday, July 8. We will discuss the Herndon-Reston Bus Service Review and ways to provide input. More information and meeting details are included below.

FCPS Virtual Town Hall
Join FCPS Superintendent Scott S. Brabrand, Assistant Superintendent for Instructional Services Sloan Presidio, and Director of the Office of Special Education Procedural Support Jane Strong for a virtual town hall tonight, July 6, from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

A Spanish language virtual town hall will be held on Wednesday, July 8, at 6:30 p.m. on Facebook en espanol, featuring Dr. Brabrand and other FCPS officials.

Herndon-Reston Bus Service Review
Fairfax County Department of Transportation (FCDOT) has developed a proposed plan for improved Fairfax Connector bus service in the Herndon and Reston areas and is soliciting community input via the methods below.
