Each participant can vote on which action to take when prompted and see where those choices lead us! Grades 5 and up. Please register on our website for Zoom meeting code. Friday, July 11 from 12:00 to 5:00 p.m. Outdoor Program! Chalk Mural. Mrs. Sam will be sectioning off the side of the Junior Room with chalk. Everyone is encouraged to add to our massive Chalk Mural so we can create something beautiful together even while we have to stay apart! Register so you can get a time slot to work on the mural for half an hour and receive your very own chalk to work with. All ages. This event counts as one point towards the summer's 8 point goal. Use your journal for self-guidance and expanded creativity while exploring the personal search for wisdom. Add laughter,  happiness,  positive energy and awareness. Enjoy poetry and music while writing about these things. Imagine what we can accomplish when we use some optimistic writing prompts. Let's begin to create and explore new ideas with Barrie Kavasch. Friday, July 17 from 12:00-5:00 p.m. Zombie Barbies. Mrs. Sam will be giving out starter packs for creating a Zombie Barbie. You will receive a Barbie or Ken that's been painted grey, and their clothing. It is up to you to use whatever means you have at home (red, grey or black paint, burning or cutting, gluing etc) to make your doll into the walking dead! You have until the sun sets tonight. Grades 5 and up. Please register to pick up your materials. Please take a picture of your Zombie Barbie and share it with Kent Memorial Library so that we can all see what others came up with! Summer Reading Program for kids entering PreK-4th:
Summer Reading kicks off at the end of June with the first BINGO Board. Download the Board from our website each week, fill in your Bingos by doing the tasks, and send it back for a chance to win one of 6 AMAZING raffle prizes. Prizes can be seen in the Children's Room or on our website. Each BINGO counts as one ticket, so get to it! For more info.

Thursday, July 2 at 12:30 p.m. LUNCH BUNCH! Riverside Reptiles Summer Reading Kickoff ZOOM Party! This is our last virtual Lunch Bunch and it's going to be AMAZING! Riverside Reptiles will put an incredible 30 minute show with 5 live animals! In the theme of our Summer Reading Program, "Imagine Your Story" Riverside Reptiles will be telling us the stories of each animal we see. Learn about our reptilian friends and get some nifty activities you can do at home. Please register! We will send you the Zoom information as soon as you do. All ages.

Wednesday, August 5 at 11:30 a.m. Pumpernickle Puppets Summer Reading Show Release! To wrap up our awesome summer reading program we have booked the talented puppeteer John McDonough of The Pumpernickle Puppet Company who will perform for us Sir George and The Dragon! His performance will be available virtually for a week and the link will be sent out to everyone to enjoy!

The Library is open for patrons to browse the collections, check in
and check out materials, use the computers, enjoy our periodicals and
shop for used books You must make an appointment in advance to use the Library, and appointments will be for 45 minutes starting every hour
from 10-4 (with a short option at 5:00).
Masks are required for entry to the Library.
You can make the appointment by phone or email.

Curbside service will continue to be available. Patrons can place holds
on their accounts online, or by calling or emailing the Library.
When we have the items you requested you will need to make
an appointment to pick them up.
