WCRG Matters
A newsletter to keep members and partners informed.
WCRG Solution Launched Nationally
The Clinical Trials Navigator pilot project, under the leadership of Dr. Caroline Hamm, is underway at Windsor Regional Hospital. In partnership with the Canadian Cancer Clinical Trials Network (3CTN), Youshaa El-Abed, the Clinical Trials Navigator helps cancer patients search and connect to clinical trials they may be eligible for.  This initiative is in honour of Ron Truant, an advocate for patient access to clinical trials and a co-developer of the Clinical Trials Navigator. Ron was a member of the WCRG Executive and a pancreatic cancer survivor of four years through clinical trials. He passed away on February 17, 2016. Ron was a valued mentor and friend and his inspiration and impact continue to move us forward.
2018 Impact Report Launched
WCRG has released its 2018 Impact Report showcasing our progress over the past year. It highlights the exciting ways that cancer research activities, community support, outreach and education opportunities are growing in our community and the importance of having strong local research.

Thank you for contributing to WCRG's success!

Community investment in research can have tremendous impact and Caesars Windsor continues to step up.
