Businesses with 20 or Less Employees Can Obtain PPP Loans
To reach the smallest businesses, SBA will offer Paycheck Protection Program loans to businesses with 20 or less employees and sole proprietors only from (today) Wednesday, February 24 through Wednesday, March 10. President Joe Biden also announced additional program changes to make access to PPP loans more equitable.

o   First Draw PPP Loans: If you have not received a PPP loan before, First Draw PPP Loans are available to you.
o   Second Draw PPP Loans: If you have previously received a PPP loan, certain businesses are eligible for a Second Draw PPP Loan.

Hugs for Heroes
The City is seeking local restaurants and community members to take part in its "Hugs for Heroes" program designed to support frontline healthcare workers through meals, snacks and notes of encouragement. This program is meant to send a “hug” from the City of Laguna Niguel to local healthcare workers while simultaneously helping our local restaurants and businesses.

Free Drive-Through Document Shredding Event April 3
The City and Police Services will host a free Drive-Through Document Shredding Event from 7 am to noon on Saturday, April 3 at City Hall, 30111 Crown Valley Parkway. You can protect your personal information by shredding confidential documents (up to 10 banker boxes per carload) onsite for free.
